Apprentices have access to a broad range of progression opportunities because leaders collaborate effectively with universities. Leaders design the level 5 specialist teaching assistant curriculum to enable apprentices to continue their education and achieve a teaching qualification.

This structure has made the apprenticeship both sustainable and rewarding, ensuring that I could immediately apply new learning within my setting and measure the impact as I developed through the qualification.
The Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant course has helped me build confidence, develop my practice, and work towards my goal of achieving QTS. Clare is always there to help, whether it’s answering a quick question or offering support when things feel overwhelming, and the support from my school has been equally fantastic. Being able to earn while learning in a real classroom environment is hugely motivating, and I would highly recommend this route to anyone considering a career in teaching. The thing that I most appreciated about the format of this course was that I was in class from day one. The nature of this apprenticeship is very focused around learning on the job. This meant that anything I picked up through online study could be immediately applied to my classroom practice and I could really see the effect and purpose of the theory. Working alongside an experienced teacher helped me to build my confidence quickly.
